Under this scheme, farmers installing borewells stand to receive assistance covering up to 50% of the total cost or a maximum of Rs 50,000, whichever is lower. The allocated amount will be directly credited to the farmer’s bank account, streamlining the financial aid process.
Beneficiaries of this scheme extend across the agricultural landscape, encompassing all farmers in the state engaged in oil palm cultivation.
Irrespective of caste or economic status, farmers from diverse backgrounds including Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Economically Backward sections can avail themselves of this beneficial scheme.

To apply for the Borewell Scheme 2024, farmers are required to submit essential documents online through the i-khedut portal. These documents include a copy of the Aadhar card, a canceled check, copies of Land 7/12 and 8-A, caste certificate (if applicable), proof of disability (if applicable), and a consent letter from any joint holders. The online application window is open from March 12, 2024, to May 11, 2024.

Upon completing the online application process, farmers must print out the application form along with the necessary documents and submit them to the horticulture department office in their respective districts.
